Just wanted to let anyone using Windows 7 (32bit or 64bit) OS that ProMash will install and run on these OS.
For Win 7 32 bit, everything should be just fine and run as usual For Win 7 64 bit, install ProMash as usual. One the installation is finished, right click on the ProMash Icon and select the Properties option. Then select the "Compatibility" tab and check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Hit OK at the bottom and close the window. ProMash should now run on the Win 7 64 bit OS.

I got lucky this morning....first off, the hard drive that I had ProMash working with crashed several years ago, and I just never took it out of the computer. Well, I did a cold boot one morning and the drive came back up, so I decided to try looking at ProMash. Darned if it didn't come right up....now, the next question, what if this drive crashes again, I can't recover the user key. Went looking through all of the files, and nope, not there......
Finally, in desperation, I pulled up an old email program that I had used forever (Eudora), and found a note from Jeff giving me my user key.....oh ho! So, being the astute person I should have been before, I backed up that information in several places. Now, I've seen where ProMash 1.8 is available as an evaluation version, but I'm not ready to go that far yet. I'm successfully running ProMash 1.8a on that crashed drive under Windows 7 (64 bit). Fingers are crossed that I can actually keep using this software. I don't know why Jeff's not answering, and the "promise" that the full ProMash site will be back on 06-01-2015 is a bit thin by now......
